Army disqualification?

hello i had a sulfa allergy when i was a baby (recently found out its misdiagnosed) well when i was taking the medical exam i mentioned it and got DQ off the bat. a waiver has been sent in but i don't understand My throat doesn't sell and I don't go into shock. Its mild face swelling. i'm not sure if it would pass or not but if it gets disapproved then could i go to my PCP and arrange to take the drug and send the results into surgeon general.
